Through personal stories, HomeIsHere.us showcases the positive impact of DACA recipients on our communities and the need to protect them

(NEW YORK)– November 12, 2019– A broad coalition of immigrants’ rights organizations is working with Blue State, a full-service creative agency for progressive organizations, to launch Home Is Here, a campaign to protect DACA recipients, their families, and all immigrant communities.

On November 12, the Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in three consolidated cases regarding President Trump’s unlawful attempt to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The #HomeIsHere digital campaign is designed to make sure the Supreme Court hears loud and clear the powerful personal stories of DACA recipients and the voices of the 83% of people in America who support DACA.

“Our coalition is ready and committed to protect the futures of hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients, their families, and all undocumented immigrants whose lives will be forever impacted by the Supreme Court’s decision,” said Hemly Ordonez, FWD.us Head of Digital Campaigns. “The stakes are high. Ending DACA would separate hundreds of thousands of families and remove people from their jobs. We partnered with Blue State, and immigrants’ rights leaders from across the country, to help broadcast the powerful stories of DACA recipients and their families so that they can continue to live, work, and make a difference in communities across the country.”

The Home Is Here campaign underscores why DACA is legal, constitutional, and highly successful through events, digital storytelling, organizing, fundraising for DACA renewals, and marches and rallies that will be held at the Supreme Court and around the country on November 12 and beyond. Blue State partnered with the coalition on the branding, visual design, social and digital communications, and development of HomeIsHere.us.

“We’re proud to help launch the Home Is Here campaign and grateful to lend our expertise and creativity to defend DACA and support Dreamers and their families,” said Marie Danzig, Blue State’s Head of Creative and Delivery. “This Supreme Court decision is a defining moment for our country, and we hope Home Is Here will raise awareness at this critical juncture, encourage people to speak up and show up, and ultimately help defend DACA recipients.”
